I know there is the gallery but that isn't very friendly to use. It is separate from the posts, the thumbs are so small you have to open the photo to really see what is on it (Z is small!). And with all the opening box effects it takes ages to open and if you want to see another pic you have to sit through all the effects again (there is not always a "next" button). Phew...

I have been disappointed re photos in posts since the beginning of new ZCentral.
We are all grateful to Brad for the facility he provides and appreciate the work involved, so it is not a criticism, merely a gentle comment on the new forum.
It is indeed a visual hobby and if I wanted just yapping I would stay with Yahoo groups (boring).
I don't know whether it is global financial crisis that bites or some other reasons... but ZCentral seems to be poor shade of it's former self regardless of the new forum being far more glitzy that the old one

Hope you can find the solution Brad, because I am not going back to Windows just for the pictures
I will have to try few other FireBoard forums to see if my Firefox suffers the same?
Thanks a lot
Chris

This is a problem when using the firefox browser.
Euh...I'm using Opera I use Opera on Gentoo, both on the desktop and the laptop. But at the office I use Opera on XP, I'll check if it is different there. Did a quick check on Konqueror and there it is a small pic as well.
Probably the forum soft uses a setting that is IE only. So much for standards.

Chris, I looked at the page you linked and the pics show fine. But if I look at the properties of the pics, then I see resolutions ranging from 1024x768 (first pic) to 800x600 (tird pic) and 448x336 (fifth pic) and they all show up the same size on the screen! If I save the images and look at them with Irfanview they have the resolution given in their properties. So it looks as if the forum software is doing some size conversion.

yeap, the only thing we need to know is how to set it up, so that the pictures show the size we want rather than postage stamp size......So it looks as if the forum software is doing some size conversion.
I have searched FireBoard forum and haven't found anything relating to it so far

It was a setting after all. It was a setting called "Max Text Width". Go figure. It was thumbing to 180px. Thanks for the challenge guys!
