Sure looks like a lot of thought and effort went into making this contest. I hope we have a record number of entries. It is even a chance to be recognized at the National Z Convention! And the building can be made into many useful structures. Thanks Stonebridge and ZCS.

Here is another link that shows a little more of the mine process. Plum-bummin’ in Leadville

The Matchless Mine was one of the very few mines that had used ore cars. When Karin and I were working on this project the 'history' alone captured my attention. Since the NZSC was in Denver, we wanted to associate our next contest with the 2012 NZSC. I think this is a perfect little kit with a colored resin ore car (created by Mr. David K Smith). And the kit includes a brown artist chalk weathering agent. If you have never tried chalk weathering, this is a perfect time.

I do want to add that on my Z CD "Three Stooges" entry, I used brown artist chalk for the dirt hole and pile. I also used some on the porch roof on the house and some on the shed. I am far from being perfect, but it did turn out well for my capabilities.

Deadline has been moved to tomorrow midnight for the special price (following the guberment's tax deadline extension). All kits purchased so far that have not been mailed are going out tomorrow. We had a few setbacks here at SBM's headquarters but are now back in full swing. Please note that one dollar of your purchase price is being donated to Z Central to help defray their costs in keeping this site up and going for all of us to enjoy. To get your kit for only $7 click www.stonebridgemodels.com/index.htm?c=specs

Don't forget me Karin, I purchased a cabin kit as part of the order I made at the beginning of the month, but it has not arrived yet.

Also, I need extra time because of my day job's taking 7 days a week, so can we extend the contest till the end of May? I want to play, but I don't have all the time available I used to have, so this small kit is a fun project for me. :woohoo:

I would like to inform everyone the Tabor Cabin Contest has been extended for one week. Entrie deadline of Friday May 11th, 2012 is now in effect. With NZSC and a few other minor issues, we needed to move the entry deadline back a week.

Thank you, John

Well, here are some pictures of my entry. The really tough part of the kit was getting the ore car out of the ziplock baggy! This kit is simple and clean with many possibilities to it.

Okay, here are my entry photos. Contest ends midnight PST tonight on 5/11/2012.
Good Luck!

John
