Cortina Layout was created by GoletaBill
Hello, I am a new guy to this site and would appreicate some advice on how to landscape a Cortina layout.
What is the best method and product to attach grass and the like to the layout. Also what is the best way of attaching trees and buildings to the layout? I am concerned about what product to use given the layout is made of plastic.
Any help would be appreicated.

Thanks

Welcome!

Take a trip to your local art/craft store and get some acrylic matte medium (any brand will do). Mix this about 50-50 with some water and apply with a brush to attach grass and ground cover.

While you're at the craft store, get some tacky craft glue (such as Aleenes) and use this for attaching trees and shrubs.

I wouldn't glue the buildings in place unless you're absolutely sure you won't want to install lighting or move them around later on. But if you do want to attach them, the tacky glue will work.

Have fun!

a static grass applicator will match the existing grass well and it is not that hard to do. You may have to blend the greens to match, but usually I found the light green works well. As for attaching the buildings I use either that sticky wax of 3m adhesive squares, because they pull up easy.

Thanks for the advice. In our opinion what is the best way of attaching the grass to the layout (or for that matter any type of vegetation)?

I recommend thinned matte medium; thinned white glue (Elmer's) also works very well for grass. Tacky glue is better for planting trees and shrubbery. Please see my previous post for more details.
