Public thanks to Kibri was created by Kelley
I just want to toss this out to the Z world!
I had recently bought a Kibri Z scale boiler house with a smokestack. When I got it home I noticed one of the parts was not completely formed, which could happen in injected molded kits.
I sent them an email, with the part number. In one working day (!) I had gotten a new part, plus some other pieces that would be handy for scratch building.
Nice to see this kind of customer service these days.

Very good to hear indeed! That's the sort of real customer service that we all ought to experience everywhere all the time.

I have similar good experience with this company. In addition, the have given the Z-scalers the best models for years, before laser kits came up. I still think their factory and brick houses are some of the finest in Z for European styled buildings.

Kibri has been under difficult circumstances in these last years, so should you think about buying a new kit, take Kibri in consideration. Another failed quality company is something we are not hoping for. BTW, it seems like they´ve been dumping their products on the market late 2007 / early 2008, there have been very substantial price reductions here and there. Look for them at several e-shops.

Just another note..I actually met THE boss of the company at a pure Z show in Germany this year. That tells me the company cares about Z. No I don't work for them (wish I did)
Their models do kit bash easy, I just made 2 houses into one big building. Don't get turned off by thinking everything looks too "European". Look around in some older towns and you will see a lot of buildings made during the turn of the century look European. Think of the immigrants at that time who built America. Where where they from and where did they learn their skills? You might have to change the roofs but brick buildings at turn of the century looked pretty much alike around the world.
Anyway I am still impressed that they sent me the part in just one working day..and it was around the holidays.

Hi Kelly,

Almost of all my Z scale buildings are Kibri of which I purchased through that world famous auction site. Their kits are easy to assemble of course I have 4 sets of tweezers. The buildings I have purchased are Swiss in design but also those from Bravaria also fit just nicely into the Swiss hills.

Happy Training,

Robert
