For those who turn to the *Bay for potential bargains, I've just posted a boatload of auctions there. shop.ebay.com/merchant/dks2855 (If nothing appears in the listing, just come back in a couple of hours.)

This has been a trick of feeBay for at least a year now. If you are not a high-dollar generating seller... your auction listings will be delayed... some times for as much as 12 hours! I've complained to feeBay many times about this trick, but of course, only receive a canned answer and nothing is ever corrected or compensated.

Just another reason why I think Ebay stinks for all practical purposes.

I still use it occasionally, but would prefer to stand in line for a series of rabies shots:angry:

Dave,

Your listing is up and running. I've bid on 8 of the hoppers.

Mr. Smith, Any particular reason why you are selling some of these hard to find pieces?

Many thanks to the members of Z Central who participated in my auctions, which were a success. It was gratifying to know some of the buyers were "family" in a manner of speaking. I hope everyone enjoys their winnings.

I had about 6 or 7 items, I was watching, and bidding on. But, I think you hit the jackpot on some of the items, even without original boxes. The cars I was bidding on went over my budget. Congratulations on a great selection and a great sale.

Thanks for offering some of your collection. Some of the cars have found a new nome here on the Left Coast and will be proudly shown on the Zo Cal layout. Now my PRR GG-1 has a caboose to finish up it consist. I couldn't believe that one of the LV hoppers went for over $120.00.
Don't forget to tell us what new "goodies" you aquired.

I have my eye on only two things at the moment, a car carrier from Álvaro, and the AZL GP30.

David, did you have any bad experiences selling on ebay. I never sold anything on ebay before, but I am thinkig of doing it. I could use the money to buy stuff I want, but I dont want the headache of people claiming that I didnt send them their stuff.

I suppose I've been lucky, but so far out of 2000+ transactions, I've never been burned. I've had a couple that never paid, and I simply re-listed. I had a couple complain it was taking to long, only to email me the next day to say it was in the mailbox. A couple were delivered to the wrong address, but they were sorted out without difficulty.

I think part of the good fortune comes from what I'm selling; I've read many horror stories from sellers of electronics and such, but with so many scammers out there, that's not surprising. Small-scale model railroading seems to be relatively free of nightmares, at least as far as I've seen so far.
