What did you work on this weekend? was created by ztrack
Well the long holiday weekend here in the States is now past. So I thought I would ask what did you do with your trains this weekend? For me, I did not spend the time I had hoped, but I still was able to get some work done on the layout. I finished four tunnel portals. Add plaster and finished the based landscaping around them. I also contoured more of the phone around what will be the small station. I also started cleaning up the layout area. Many of you have asked for updated photos and I am very much over due. Hopefully I can take new photos very soon.
So what did you do this weekend?
I encourage you to take a look on Trainboard. MRNOSAL posted photos of his European layout that we worked on this holiday weekend. It is a beauty! Joe D worked on his Fairbanks Morse H 10-44 switcher. This is a great project!

Rob, I'm having trouble kicking the Trestle Bent Building habit. I now have 28 built for the big trestle on the Northern Division. I put some body mounted couplers on a NP wood sheathed boxcar that I found on Saturday in the shed. The jewel box said, MTL $ Kadee on it! I didn't realize I'd been in Z that long. I also made a load of pipes for my 40' gondola. I won another Modeling Challenge photo contest at Trainboard. I took the shot of the Southern Division now on our Home Page. Finally, I actually 'played trains' for about an hour. Each of my locos were given a workout pulling 11 cars around the layout twice. Got a lot accomplished. Cheers, Jim CCRR:woohoo:

For the past several weeks I've been building tree armatures at the dining room table while watching Rockford Files reruns with the boys.
I now have 1200 evergreen trees ready to paint, foam and plant on Big Bertha.
I'm going to finally have Big Bertha finished after four years. It will debut at the N scale convention in Portland next month.
Other than getting pitch all over my hands and shooing away spotted owls, I'm just sitting around doing nothing, bored out of my mind......yeah sure !!
