After checking out the list of exhibitors for your show, it was quite impressive to note that the Z club is listed as the second largest exhibit area of 12 club layouts with only a single O Gauge club being larger ... way to go!

Just got back from the show. What a great show. Many layouts on display and the vendor area was quite good. The DC Z-bend guys were great to talk to. Had a great time.

As the first show of the new year, how about a report of anything new at the Show?
Any Z scale Deals?
The show appears to be similar to the one held in Nashville last year. The Disney booth with the story of the Disney RR's is neat. How long were the lines to see Thomas?
Perhaps it would help Marklin if they could paint some Blue 0-6-0's?

Hi Glenn,
I didn't run across anyone that had any Z for sale. The show was geared more towards the larger scales for the most part.
I got there around 10 as they opened and the lines to get in were wrapped around the building. Once inside it was only elbow room. The show had a really good attendance. I was there until 2:30 or 3 and the crowd was still pretty good.
The line for Thomas was really long. There was also a good variety of age groups. Unless I missed it, I didn't see a Disney booth.

Ed,
You missed something pretty interesting if you didn't see the Walt Disney's Railroad Story exhibit. When I saw it a couple of years back, there was a presentation given by a gentleman who was the son of one of Walt's train buddies and he describes his times shared with "uncle" Walt both with regard to Disney's private collection of trains and those that ultimately made up one of Disneyland's most popular attractions.
According to the online listing, this exhibit is at the show ... it may not be obvious that it is a Disney exhibit, it was pretty low key at our show.
