Good Afternoon Campers,
I've just posted a brief new article over at Ztrains.com regarding an alternative to Dull Cote. I was speaking recently with Joel Bragdon of Bragdon Enterprises, makers of my favorite weathering powders, and we've published an email from Joel regarding this Dull Cote alternative.

That's a seriously useful piece of information, and an excellent item to add to one's workshop. Best of all, it's useful for any scale.
Thanks for sharing that!

Glad to pass this one along David... it also minimizes the shine on static grass which is pretty useful as well!

That's very good to know. I use Silflor grass, which I love--except for the shine. It's only a problem in sunlight, but it's a serious problem. I wind up retouching all of the highlights out of photos, which is something like trying to correct for redeye in a portrait of a thousand people! Now I'll be looking for this stuff for sure!it also minimizes the shine on static grass which is pretty useful as well!
