Track Bed Problem

So much work has been completed over the last few days. Plus a few surprises have cropped up.
The problem I need to fix now is the track bed. When I put the one piece cork over the track bed, there is a gap between the cork and the track bed on the inside of the tack bed. For some reason, I thought I\'d fixed this prior to finishing the rockwork, but I guess I hadn\'t. The gap is about 1/32\" or so and for Z scale, it\'s pretty noticeable.
How do I fix this without sanding? Is there some kind of self-leveling liquid filler that I could pour on the surface, or do are there other ways to fix it? TIA :)
