The Main Body is made of lead free white metal. It consists of a three piece laser cut deck cut to exact dimensions as per the Master Laser Cutters drawings, right down to the last bolt impression. It can either be an early version with a drop type brake wheel or as shown with a modern type hand brake. The coupler/trucks are at the correct prototypical dimensions from the ends. I have a photo comparison of this TTX flat car and the TTX version that a popular manufacturer makes to show bolster placement. Might post it in the future! This type of flat car (OTTX) was created to mainly move Farming Equipment by rail. Another version of this type car is HTTX built to move general/military/construction equipment. Although it is not uncommon to see any type of load of these flats. The decks are easily weathered for a realistic appearance!!! Hobo Tim |
