Alex, Don't get your hopes up for more than the four body styles. Being in the hobby for ten years and studying MTL methods make me think this is it. Hopefully, the next big thing from them will be heavy weight passenger cars so all the folks that bought their Moguls and all of us who enjoy the steam era will have a passenger car. We are at the mercy of the marketing departments. Always were, and always will be. Cheers, Jim CCRR:unsure:
Jim,
I was commmenting on someone else's wish list. I am fully aware of the limitations involved, as Joe has spelled it out on numerous occations. I agree that I would always like to see more... as I have commented else where, but I also know I will have to make some hard choices of what to buy or not to buy as more becomes available. I, too, have one of those Moguls.
Alex

Sorry, I was delayed. But I was able to make the announcement. We opened a new thread on the topic. It is the AZL June 2009 New Items thread. These SOO/CP cars look great!

i ve been trying to get decal sellers interested in getting a grain hopper decal out there,, either alberta or anywhere!!!canada mike
What kind of decal are you looking for and what car/s is it for? I can make decals, and I like Canadian grain cars! I cannot do 1000 though, but for my own collection I would be willing to do some schemes, and makes extras.
This is what I would need... Closeup photos of the schemes, and closeups of all the reporting marks, and I like them to be as accurate as I can get them.
What I don't like is when I have to spend 40-100 hours online downloading every possible photo in order to find that one sweet shot of a reporting mark to find out it says " 2" HF COMP BRAKE SHOES", in other words when I make decals for people, I would hope they have all that information available, because they went down to the tracks with their own camera and took a shot.
I don't get grain cars here where I live, I only get Centerbeam Flatcars, Autoracks, Tankers, and Plastic Pellet Hoppers.

here in calgary we sit with are left side to the great mountain ranges, the edge of our city to the american boarder is wheat, barely, and mustard for miles!!! so if we want to even try to model our areas,, you have to have the huge numbers of grain loads passing by every lighted crossing!

AZL's ACFs are a different style car. I found this photo of the CP car. I think AZL did a great job to match the prototype.
This photo is from 2006. This car is still running today. A great reference site that has tons of freight car photos is:

The grass and rails in this photo really look real! But, the car doesn't look prototypical.

I'm just surprised they are not covered in garbage (graffeettii:blush: ). Are the Canadian railroads better guarded than the U.S.?

We have lots of graffiti on our cars, though I have no way of comparing how secure our trainyards are compared to those in the US.
