there seems to be a bug in this thread. I can't get to the older postings that are on page 1 of this thread. When I click onto the button "Prev" or "1" I still only get this page with the last two postings.
In the thread "Bug report for new ZCS" I can change from one page to the other. MY browser is currently Firefox 3.0.3
in a moment I will test this on Opera 9.51
@Chris:
I'm testing Firefox, because Opera don't has a spell check feature (and no, not the one for Harry Potter, and his friends... ) available...
but at least the spell check works here for me...

So now I go on liking this (for me) new browser and it's features...

yes you are not the only one with this problem - it is intermittent and seems to be affected by last or newest post first setting and only is the problem for threads with more than 1 page (it is OK for those that have only 1 page)...there seems to be a bug in this thread. I can't get to the older postings that are on page 1 of this thread. When I click onto the button "Prev" or "1" I still only get this page with the last two postings...
I have mentioned it to Brad, but I guess, with all the other problems harrasing him, he didn't have the chnce to look at it yet. I will keep an eye on this thing and if necessary remind Brad
oh, yack - I didn't like 3.0 at all was much worse than my previous version 2.8 - that's why I have moved to Seamonkey, which is much like an old Firefox (it is based on Firefox)...MY browser is currently Firefox 3.0.3...

While going around I couldn't find a PM option. Is it just hidden for me...
Personally I prefer a e-mail to me if another member want to contact me off list.
As you discovered we no longer have PM's. They took up a tremendous amount of room on OZCS databse. We now have PE - private email. I like it.
When I go to the members list, I get a different list each time. Right at this moment my nick is the first shown, a few hours earlier I was on third or fourth position. How is the order of the list decided? Seems to me like who logged in last is in first place on the list?
It sorts by last visit. I set it up that way because the old list was by alha. With 1300 members there is page after page of empty avatars with few to little post. I thought this would be more interesting and lively. A second alpha sorted list is possible. Did you try the search function on the member list page? This is how I find users.
A last detail (at least for the moment ) is the chat room. Would it be possible to see on the main page who, or how much members are in the chat room?
The chat component I purchased for NZCS is called Blast Chat Client 2.3. I like the chat room software. However, this component comes with a "module" for displaying data on the home page. I have tested this module but it does not seem to function correctly and I have not looked for a second compatible module.

That is a true bug in the Fireboard software we are using as our board. It all began when I enable the option for users to pick between newest or oldest post first. I am hoping all newly created threads function properly now that users have made thier choice.

Nope3- cliking magnifying glass still changes screen to translucent dark gray and same size picture. I can get enlarged pictures on Archived photos
Fred,
We really need to know what resolution you are set at on your computer!! I can walk you through that if you can tell me if you are using windows xp or windows vista?
When you go to the archive and open a pic, does it enlarge to like 5 times the size of your screen, allowing you to see only a fraction of the whole pic?
The new photo gallery automatically open pics to 95% of your screen size iregardless of the image size. In other words it fits the WHOLE picture to your size screen......automatically.

I don't know the old Firefox versions, and as far as I understand Seamonkey is a Version with other options like e-mail client and others included. Correct me if I'm wrong here. Since I use separate Software for HTML coding and e-mail I thought that I wouldn't need Seamonkey. I have read that Firefox in the version before 3.x were slower and needed more resources.
As of now I like the look and feel of Firefox 3.0.3, even if Opera gives me some more options for the layout of the tabs and other details. Looks like as if Firefox is made for a more reduced impact on the resources. But the spell check works great. Especially with all the available languages.
I will see for a while and decide later.

yes you are right, but you don't need to install everything. I have just selected to install browser, without other things, because like yourself I have other packages to do it....as far as I understand Seamonkey is a Version with other options like e-mail client and others included...
Seamonkey is based on, but not a version of Firefox (although it feels very similar)
that was exactly my experience, and I wouldn't mind it, if it provided me with things I always wanted... but a lot of it were gimmicks I didn't need...I have read that Firefox in the version before 3.x were slower and needed more resources...
yes I always liked this feature (being multilingual myself)...But the spell check works great. Especially with all the available languages...

And I agree, I like that I don't have to check my PM box now...

I tried the search option, but I missed a search option "name starts with this letter". In the current version it's hard to find a member if you don't know the full name/nick. With this search option you would get a alpha sorted list. But I agree, that a list with lot's of empty avatars and members with about 0 posts would be not good.
Another detail I found interesting is this:
Part of the message is hidden for the guests. Please log in or register to see it.
in the preview it seems to work...

automatic display at 95% of the screen(or whatever you set it to)
and if you really want to see it full size, you can still right click on it and "view image in another tab" which than displays it full 100%
There may possibly be some bugs for certain browsers, or certain personal settings of the PC you are viewing them on, but that has nothing to do with the Forum

Update: If you click on the little computer icon it will ask you if you want to save or open the original picture...what happens Fred if you click on this icon instead of the magnifier and then choose "open"?

I never used that computer icon before as I didn't want to download- I see now there are three options.
Opening enlarges picture with a slider to increase size.
Looking glass does not work but this icon function does-- I'm all set and will pass on to others. Thanks for all your attention and effort!!

...
Cleanex,
I fixed your broken links on Trainboard.....
Brad, how complicated/involved was this fixing?
When I look at the postings in the Archive they suffer from the same problems of missing pictures (and they are here on ZCS not on Trainboard ).
If it's not too complicated, it would be good to have this sorted out as well (most of the posts with missing pictures are rather confusing)
