You can also browse and insert photos from the photo gallery here on this site. When you are in the blog editor there is a link on the right "images & documents". Click this and you can browse through gallery folders for images you want to insert!
I saw that but don't see how to get the image into the edit window. I'm probably being very dense.

This contradicts the post found here:You can also browse and insert photos from the photo gallery here on this site. When you are in the blog editor there is a link on the right "images & documents". Click this and you can browse through gallery folders for images you want to insert!

oops, I forgot this does not work quite right. You can drag the images over and html appears. The html must then be fixed up to work correctly. Sorry!
Fixed up?

I would expect, when I click on Member Blogs, I'd see a list of the blog titles, one for each member, which I'd then click to view all of the entries for that individual's blog. Instead, I see all of the individual entries from all the members rolled into a single page, as if it was all one blog. (And with those huge avatars along the right, it looks pretty wonky.)
I'm seriously confused by this interface. Highly counterintuitive. Any clue? Is this user error? Or is this the way it was actually designed to work?
By the way, the new blog? entry? that I added tests gallery image drag-and-drop options. It seems that embedding the image URL in a standard HTML <IMG SRC=""> tag works; unfortunately, the image displayed is the thumbnail from the gallery search tool, instead of the actual gallery image! Also, the image will only display on its own line if an HTML paragraph tag, <P> is added to the code as well. Yikes! If it were me, I'd seriously be looking for something other than Joomla stuff to use...

This won't work either. Sorry! The blog post interface has no BBS buttons. The only option is to use HTML code to create an IMG tag with a hosted image URL, like this: <p><img src="h t t p : / / w w w . h o s t e d . i m a g e . u r l"></p>The same way you'd insert a photo in a forum post. The photo needs to be hosted somewhere, like PhotoBucket or Picasa. Click the Img button and place the URL of the photo between the tags.
By the way, the image uploader in the blog post interface uploads the image to the Gallery... but to where? It doesn't appear in the Last Added page of images, or in My Gallery. In fact, I can't find it anywhere. (Insert theme from Twilight Zone here.)
Then something even stranger happened when I was poking around the Blog Dashboard. I clicked on Comments. It displayed all of the comments posted to my first blog post, with a button to "approve unpublished" comments. Odd, as I never had to approve them in the first place; they always appeared by default. So I clicked on one of the comment titles. It took me to the blog post, then logged me out of Z Central! And it somehow also cleared my login name and password from the form. This has to be some of the strangest software I've seen in a while... Hey, it keeps you guessing!
Sorry to pile it on, Brad, but I don't think the Blog feature is ready for prime time.

Blogger is quite popular: www.blogger.com/homeSo can anyone recommend a free, user friendly blog host.
One particular advantage is that it links in directly with Picasa photo albums: picasaweb.google.com/home
All free.
