Dwight, you are correct in calling David a 'general contractor', but perhaps a more fitting and appropriate name would be a 'design architect'. One thing for certain, he is a 'master craftsman' or 'artist'. Any of these terms fit David to a tee.
You are fortunate to have seen his work personally. I just wish David could be at the NZSC to personally meet his many admirers and learn from the master.

Loren,
I agree with you 110%. I wrote David that I was sadden that he would not be at the convention.
PS: Loren, I was the one who feel asleep on you when you were giving the demo on how you build your trees at the last convention)
Dwight

David this looks like a picture that was taken in the late fifties or early sixties on Main Street USA and not a module or model in Z no less
I bow to a master modeller absolutely superior modelling and the night lighting will really make it come alive.
regards Garth

Dwight, you will have an opportunity to redeem yourself if you come to this convention, as I am giving another tree making demo. Be forewarned though, if you fall asleep again, I will smear pine tree pitch on your nose and then ballast it with fine gray.........
Hope to see you there.
