Rokuhan Track update was created by garthah
I got a sample from Rokuhan of the new flex track, just released in Japan. It is billed as 330mm long but it is actually longer than this. The two pieces of rail are actually 400mm long and once you have removed all the flex elements from the sprue and installed them on the rail you actually have 350mm of roadbed. There are 42 flex elements plus the two end pieces with roadbed joiners and rail joiners. Each roadbed element has a boss for a track nail or other fastener, and like on the track an awl will pierce the blind bottom of the hole and open it up through the roadbed. It has enough flexibility to bend to R70mm which I figure is much tighter than most of us would want for a curve when you consider that R145mm is probably the tightest you can go and have 90% of your equipment operate through the curve without problems.
So, the current Rokuhan Classic Roadbed track has in 45 degree segments with radii R 70mm through R220mm and in 30 degree segments for Radii 245mm and R270mm. The add on turnout switch controller is released but not all the accessories to go with it are released. not available yet is the cable to take power from your AC accessory terminals on a standard North American power pack to power your turnout. The controller has a rectifier and capacitors inside the unit so it will handle a separate wall transformer with DC input plus connect to the C001 rain controller. It can be used as a stand alone lead unit for a group of turnout control switches or be used as an add on the the C001 train controller to add additional turnout control switches to the side of it. Still to come in the same size of box is the reverse loop
manual controller.
Cheers Garth
