Stripping Gundersons from AZL was created by tealplanes
Ok, I've found some cars in the Medford yard I want to model but being on the rather unenlightened side, I have no idea if these are Gundersons or not. They look very similar to AZL's 60' Gundersons, but with a slightly different roof line and different doors.

Can someone tell me what these cars are?

Also wondering how hard it is to strip AZL Gundersons?

Thank you,
Loren

Loren, these cars are not like the AZL Gunderson cars. The Gunderson cars are high cube. Thess cars don't have the excess height markings. The MTL ribside are a closer match. Just switch out the single sliding door for a double sliding door like this.

Might be a stupid question, but where did you get the double doors?

Boy the detail on this "Z" scale is great.. I'm starting to take a shine to this scale.
Just like the shine on those new doors.:)

I'm sure they will look fine after a bit-o-paint.
Nice weathering on your rolling stock.

I know this is a kit-bash mod.. and you didn't ask for my comment but,
just in case you havn't noticed. Your door runners aren't long enough
to have both doors open. (Looks that way to me.)

Loren, its from a double door boxcar from MTL.

Thanks KDS. The door runners are too short, but all I wanted to test fit the door to see if they fit.
