During the 2nd world war lots these makeshift passenger wagons were built on freight wagon carriages to address the need for passenger rolling stock. Some of them were in use until the 1960-ies on various small branchlines. Originally 3rd class, later they were moved to the 2nd class despite only having wooden benches and often missing heating equipment.
