Hey thanks for the "Out of Scale", it brings back a lot of found memories. Spent the next two hours watching all fourteen cartoons that attached to this cartoon. Worth the time. When cartoons were cartoons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like the animators at Disney were "ribbing" the boss about his hobby!

While looking for the Mono Rail in Disneyland- I found this site . We do need a light rail train in Z and this might be an application for Lajos's little mechenism and unpowered bogies.

Hope this works- if so- scroll down and see lots of light rail drawings.
Stony- can you hear us- well- me :)

Fred, since the monorails at Disney sites don't use train rails, but rubber wheels on the concrete beam, I would suggest a new mechanism would be in order. That's if you want it to look somewhat prototypical. Personally, I've been thinking of using code 40 rail imbedded in the side or sides of a styrene "beam" with wipers for power pickup, but those plans are still only in my dreams.

The link you provided is great, except it doesn't have one I want to model: the Siemens P2000 (Gold [original] and Green lines in LA).
Thanks for sharing, you made my day.

It seems to me that this would be the perfect application of Loren's mountain highway. The chain with the magnets rides in a slot formed on the underside in the vertical concrete rail. With the proximity of the magnets to the bottom of the monorail cars and the ability of the vertical rail to act like a race, I would think this would actually be easier than the highway.
