The Official Z PBL Challenge Thread

In the spirit of giving to EVERYONE who participates in the Z PBL Challenge, I will give 10 Z points for each entry. If you enter more than one Z PBL Challenge diorama, you will receive 10 Z points from me for each entry.
Kelley's first entry has just been awarded 10 Z points
Fred's first entry has just been awarded 10 Z points
I currently have about 500 Z points. I figure giving 10 Z points per entry will make me Z point poor if there are 50 entries I might have to post like crazy to keep up with all the entries as we draw near the end of the Challenge on June 30, 2009.

I'd never given points away until this morning. It was fun like you say Are you going to give Z points to every participant?
I sure hope you and Loren enter the Z PBL Challenge, either together and/or separately
Fred,
You'll be gaining fame, glory, furry animal adoration AND 10 Z points from me.
Maybe others will want to give Z points to all the participants, too.
Kelley,
Keep 'em comin'

Yes, I have planned two PB entries. I have the wherewithal, the inclination and the subject matter.......now can someone just do me a favor and give me some time? I can't seem to locate much around here.........is this a conspiracy or am I just getting too old to know the difference?

today I postet the 1. Pic from my "Bierdeckellayout" (I dont like peanut butter;) )
I used a Bierdeckel because it is carton and so it is better to fixed all the things.
The Bierdeckel had a diameter from 10,5 cm, but I cut it to 9 cm.
I think, I will be finished the next 2 days
The name "Oblivion" measns a old forgotten track with expireness around.

Welcome to ZCS!
Thank you for posting your first photo of your first entry in the Z PBL Challenge I am happy that you used a Bierdeckel instead of a peanut butter lid. A Bierdeckel is much more in the German spirit than a peanut butter lid
As I do for every entry in the Z PBL Challenge, I have awarded you 10 Z points.
You are welcome to enter more than one Bierdeckel layout before midnight June 30, 2009.
Best wishes to you in Germany

now the first dioarama is finished.
The coaster was decreases to 9 cm and underpinned with Styrodur (this keeps the background).
I used only an old piece of track, a G10 Wagon building (find in a box ) and a tree (selfmade).
And to bring little bit of life in the forgotten place, a dog stand under the tree.
Thats all.
And the second diorama was startet....

long time ago I wrote the last time here. But I hasn't the time and rest to translate something to English.
But I read here, of course, and found this nice idea. So I think it would be a good reason to restart writing here.
I just added four pictures of my first diorama. Nothing spectacular, but nice to view (I think).
The base of the diorama is a round sheet of plywood, cut to 9cm diameter. The structure of street and landscape is made from tile adhesive. The street is painted with RAL7000 (Fehgrau), weathered with black dry color pigments and striped with adhesive tape and brush.
The small bus shelter is made from idea of a friend from Switzerland (no, not Jurg ) and etched from nickel silver. The painting is made with airbrush and dry color pigments.
The landscape is made with foliage, grass fiber, and small trees. As highlight I plant a big tree, I got from JuergenT.
I hope you enjoy watching the pictures (in the gallery).
Best wishes
Andreas

Your entry is very well done. I like that it shows an every day scene
I have awarded you, Andreas, the customary 10 Z points for submitting an entry to the Z PBL Challenge.
Please enter as many dioramas as you like
Incidentally, there seems to be more European entries than N. American entries. I thought the Americans would be all over this Challenge, but the Europeans are highly motivated
Um.... My excuse is that I'm still waiting for my figures to arrive

I did it !! Tonight I actually began working on my PB challenge. Boy, did it feel good too.
Bev, you may be waiting for your people figures to arrive, but I too am waiting for something to arrive that will first need modification before I can add it to the scene I'm working on. Won't say what it is for now, but one of these days I'll be able to post my entry.
I am also toying with an idea for a second entry......now if I can just find the right material for this entry also. Hmmmm......

I'm glad to hear that both of you are working on the Challenge
Uwe,
Will your wife and son join the Challenge? It would be very cool if they did
My vehicles from Alvaro arrived yesterday. I was so excited to receive them that I hopped and skipped around our house like a school girl Still no figures, but I emailed the e-tailer to send them separately from the rest of my order that's still back ordered from the maunfacturer. The e-tailer obviously doesn't know how important figures can be to a modeler
At the moment, I'm working on my first Kibri plastic kit for our large layout. I've messed up a few times already, though not with anything that hasn't been fixed. The chalet might be finished by the end of the weekend if all goes well with adding flower boxes and flowers.

Here is a woman that does some interesting work. Maybe you can get her to join the group. Check out her Z scale trains animated railroad station.

that's not decided yet, but I will try to convince them too. As I wrote the glass isn't empty yet...Will your wife and son join the Challenge? It would be very cool if they did
at least this morning my son asked to get the glass when it is empty, but fortunately my wife told him that this glass is reserved for dad...
...and I'm still nursing my idea for the challenge. I just hope I won't get disqualified for it...
...so stay tuned, but don't hold your breath, since I won't take any responsibility for negative side effects from that...
...the challenge goes until late June anyway...
GreetingZ, HilZen,
Uwe
