004 Barrier Strip on Cork Strip

Photo 4: 004 Mounting Barrier Strips to the Foam Base.
I used 2 techniques of mounting the barrier strips to the foam. First I glued cork strips [bought a roll at Office Depot] or wooden stir strips to the foam, using Elmer’s White Glue mixed with water - 50/50. Photo 4 shows a cork base mount. Weighted it down and let it dry overnight. The porous condition of the cork may produce a stronger bond to the foam than wood. The next day I glued the barrier strips with Elmer’s White Glue [100 %] to the cork. Weighted the barrier strip down and let it dry overnight.
