It is a fantasy model in outdoor G scale by Academy Award winner Chris Walas who did (among other things) the special effects for "Gremlins". Do a Google! search and be amazed by the creative work of this "genius". He lives in Santa Barbara and is well known in G scale modeling.

Preiser does make some 1/22.5 naked people. Just a matter of filing sanding putty and making scales,or even finding some kind of plastic fish somewhere that you could mold into the bodies.www.figuren.de/download.php?file=PK%2025%20Seite%20174-195.pdf

I have a silver charm of the "Little Mermaid" in Coppenhagen Harbor (I think) .. I painted it a weathered copper green and stuck her on a rock and she will be in my harbor scene. Just right for Z! I think the original model for the stature was too small and they had to throw her back. :woohoo:

Dunno if it was posted before but this is a neat site. I always rather go backward in time than forward

Thank You Kelly for posting-- A lot of nice models in all areas. I reposted the site to a couple of others who are interested in building containerships- Malcolm and Randy. Hopefully someday we will see other Z containerships. A Great portion of the containers we see on the road originate from seaborn commerce. Mini Land Bridge are containers that land on the west coast- and then loaded on trains for the trip inland. Soon a lot of this traffic will disappear as the Panama Canal is being expanded to handle even bigger ships, and the east coast ports are gearing up for increased container deliveries.
We are dredging channels for the deeper draft ships, recieving new- longer reaching cranes for the wider beam vessels, raising tunnel and bridge clearances for taller double stacked cars, increasing marshalling yard acreage.. etc.

WOW!!! Fred that display is really awesome! I really like how you have it staged and built into the wall. Are all the trains in this photo Z scale in the displays or are they larger scales? Its hard to tell. The stuff you come up with Fred is always amazing. Keep up the great work :)

Slugger- Thanks- The three wide shelves are some of my truck fleet--all Z. The narrow shelves on right has some cranes I bashed and crashed..to Z-- and the lower right is a Halmark Tree ornament of the Redstone Missile launch of Mercury, I believe--Dusty brains-- that lights up on lift off... Thought at one time it would be good for my Florida section. It's amaszing how much stuff one collects over the years, without trying!! :woohoo: And Dragonlady doesn't know the half of it!! and I ain't tellen

Kelley, Nice post! 3D printing is the next big thing. There is a thread all about it and a steam loco being made over on Trainboard. It seems fairly cheap and easy, after the machinery cost. Even had the handrails on it. Jim
